Mitchel picked up the guitar three years ago and with very little help has progressed at an alarming rate!

 Last year, in his first ever audition, he beat 2000 other youngsters to a place in the   Stars in their Eyes   Road Show   scheduled for 4 nights at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

He went on to outshine tens of thousands of young people through a series of tough auditions to win a place in the   TV Stars in their Eyes   as Kurt Cobain and went up against four 15 year old girls, Nora Jones, Shakira, Natalie Imbrglia and Madonna!!  as you know , tough competition, attracting a lot of press coverage for his age and outstanding performance. 

Mitchel writes and performs his own music and has produced demo CDs of his first songs. The target audience age range is anyone who will listen and is basically   New Young Rock  ...  

Although initially heavily influenced by Kurt Cobain - Nirvana, Mitchel’s musical style is constantly developing as his exposure to a variety of music grows.  A recent interest in the Beatles (he taught himself "Norwegian Wood" in less than a day) demonstrates his wide-ranging influences.  

His enthusiasm for performing live led to busking in Lichfield. His set is normally from 11.45am till 12.30, then off to McDonalds, finishing with another 45 min set of whatever takes his fancy.  His performances are very popular and has enabled him to buy both his first acoustic guitar  Tanglewood , and an electric guitar - a blue   Fender Jagstang   from   Gary at PMT Music   in Birmingham for cash from his own earnings at only 11 years old!   

(The Jagtang was designed by Kurt Cobain.. Good enough for Kurt, good enough for Mitchel Monster!!)

Mitchel regularly gigs with 'Bonne' his aunt around the midlands.  She has a Bonnie Tyler and Anastasia tribute show with lights, smoke and a big sound,  performing in the local area.  Mitchel does a 30 min spot which is either heavy or un-plugged depending on the mood... loves it.. means a late night out!!

His nights out when given the chance take him to the   Tackeroo   as a venue to see bands......
